Mining questions, answered
What does adding an API key actually do?
It securely stores access credentials in the existing vault. A stored key is not automatically proof that useful work has been submitted or rewards have been earned.
How do I join or leave a pool?
Use the pool buttons attached to your saved keys. An active pool button asks you to confirm leaving that pool; if several keys belong to it, the leave action applies to that pool. Removing a stored API key is a separate action. Check recent work and rewards to verify participation.
Does this require a paid AI account?
Providers have different billing, quotas, and free-tier policies that can change. Confirm your provider's current terms before using a key for mining.
How do I know if mining is actually working?
Start with your pool assignments, then check recorded shares, verified work, recent usage, and reward history. If the vault is unreachable, reconnect your session. A configured key alone is not a work guarantee.
